These lovely oval stones are a form of serpentine or jade. Whilst the name isn't too appealing it is nonetheless a beautiful stone. These are lizardite ovals which I have separated with little amazonite beads bringing the necklace to a length of 17". This short lariat style necklace has a hilltribe 925 silver engraved toggle set and for the drop I've used the same amazonite beads and then a seafoam chrysoprase donut. Chrysoprase is a form of chalcedony and some refer to it as Australian jade. Donut measures 1" in diameter and drop is 2". I just love the soft tones of this piece.
Ooohhhh....just noticed that this goes so well with my new blogskin =D
