In a post I did a couple of weeks ago, I was a little 'ignorant' about the stages of growth of this vegetable. We were all so excited about the numerous little finger like bulbs growing in flower beads at the back of the house, we assumed that those would grow slowly into the actual vegetable. Epic Fail! Those little projectiles would bloom into these beautiful yellow flowers, drop off and then from that stem would emerge the actual vegetable. The first fruit/vegetable is growing at an incredible rate but why its starting to curl at the tips is something we have investigate so that we don't have a harvest of curly fingers. Everyday we learn!
