Another custom order that I've been sitting on for a while. Not from 'idleness' but because I was searching for the perfect or almost perfect color to complete this. The request was for a red, like garnet red and the design was left to me. I have a line of very dark, almost black, faceted round garnet stones which I felt would be a little boring.... I exhausted many avenues, calling upon personal contacts....hi Deb....to help me find nice deep red nuggets but zilch! So I resorted to my 'vintage' stash. Not the colour of the full bodied dark red wines, the red tone of these glass beads is a little 'younger' I've used oxidized sterling silver and 3 finely faceted onion shape garnet brios dangling off oxidized chains. Ends with a toggle.4.01.2010
