I've been fascinated by Kate Middleton ever since it became an open secret that she was 'dating'Prince William. I have a general fascination with the Monarchy. Probably deep rooted 'and they lived happily ever after' fairy tales my parents read to me as a child and which followed me thru' the years. Anything to do with princesses and their world will draw me like a bee to honey. I was pouring over images of the Duchess of Cambridge during the couple's visit to Canada. I love the fact that she has a good eye for fashion and style and doesn't go overboard with her style or with her 'shopping' Her Issa engagement dress is a classic and I think this cobalt blue elongated oval pendant would be perfect to go with that dress and her ring. I've done up this stunner with pearls and garnets. I've kept the crowning of the pendant with just pearls whilst the necklace features baroque style pearls and contrasting deep red garnets. I've added a single huge pearl rondelle measuring approx 1 cm across and about 8 mm thick.

The leaf which I've studded with maroon, clear and aqua tone swarovski crystals is actually the fastener.

Necklace measures 18" and the pendant, including leaf fastener drops @ 2-1/2"
