FAY S$33

These little fairies are just like regular girls. Put them together and they have oh so much to talk about - "guess who Pixie is dating?" or "you won't believe who I just saw under the rose bush"? *=*

Anyhow, sitting pretty on leaves sprinkled with fairy dust are these pewter fairies and adorning their garden swings are little posies of flowers. Too bad the sun's gone down and I can't show off these pretty nymphs.

PLUSH S$33

Close up of the pinkalicious duo.

LAVENDER S$30 SOLD

Dinner is over and we're now having coffee and bread and butter pudding which my mum baked, for dessert ;p Didn't feel like doing any posting of photos but then I rememberd that gluttony is a sin..........dang! So, I've decided to stop at just one serving and have proceeded to sit in front of the comp with my coffee!

Photography is really out of whack - these lovely dyed and stabilised howlite brios are a lovely mauve. At the base of the bead is a silver bead spacer. Topping the lavender bead is a swarovski crystal in dusky pink, a faceted amethyst bead, a lilac czech glass flower and a lovely freshwater pearl. Even on a bad hair day nobody will notice the fly away hair strands because LAVENDER will be the only thing anyone will be admiring ;

JEANIE S$70 sold

Mystic Lore: Intuitive sources say that chrysoprase brings peace to the heart and well-being to one's emotional, mental and physical states. It is said to aid in releasing stress, healing 'heartbreak', calming anger and soothing fear.

This pretty creation is made up of chrysoprase nuggets and teardrop shaped beads. The little beads above the drops are red eagle eye. I love the minty green colours of this necklace and selected it based on appearance rather than the metaphysical properties which are a bonus.

AUTUMN LEAVES S$45 sold

A lovely polymer clay centerpiece which has a dome finish on one side and flat on the other. Autumn colours which are my favourite feature strongly in the pendant and I have used new and yellow jade, red jasper, serpentine, peach aventurine and czech glass beads to form the necklac

IGUANA VISITOR

Late in the evening, the serenity and peace of the day was shattered by a shrill, hysterical voice screaming something quite incoherent. My husband played golf early in the morning and pulled his calf muscle whilst doing a small jump from high ground to a slightly lower level. I immediately thought that something must have happened to him or his leg to make the housemaid go hysterical. As she hyperventilated I went into panic mode and literally jumped two steps at a time to get to the source of this hysteria.

By that time of course, Mr Cool (not like, cool cool but rather like "huh? whats 'appening" cool) had emerged from the study and gone to check out what had happenned to the maid. I wish I had stayed upstairs! Mr Cool was suddenly like - "get the camera", "don't frighten it" - huh???? don't frighten "IT" Geeeezzzzz what about me and the maid - who's going to say to us "don't be afraid"! Anyway, I was not going anywhere near this HUGGGGEEEE lizard. Obviously harmless to us but it was just too much to see an iguana in a non-jungle environment. It had rained quite heavily earlier in the day and obviously the rain waters must have flushed Ivan out of his hidey hole! Mr Cool managed to lure Ivan out of the garden whilst I had to placate Buddy who was not happy that the unannounced visitor was getting more attention than himself.

Anyway, after a couple of pics were taken, Ivan was unceremoniously led out of the front gate by Cool and his gang (just Ms Hysterics, I remained indoors with Buddy), Ivan decided to do an about turn and ran back into the side garden!

No way am I going to be doing any pruning or prancing in the garden till we find out where Ivan does his sunbathing!

See, who said my life is boring! *-*

RING OF ROSES S$70 sold

A ring of pretty beads ........ polymer clay beads with rose quartz for company. Softly nestled against the skin this necklace oozes femininity. As the polymer clay beads are little masterpieces, the soft rose quartz beads don't steal the limelight but rather they enhance the beautiful lentils. I'll end here and let the picture paint the thousand words this piece is so deserving of.

GOLD & SWIRLS S$36 sold

This has to be seen 'up close and personal' to fully appreciate the lovely swirls of gold and the peachy pink roses. Coordinated with swarovski pearls and crystals this is an evening stunner.

OVIDIA S$29 Reserved

I've had another long day. I was out till late evening and then I had to rush home to shower and change for a class I attend every Wednesday night. On my desk was a parcel from Germany which I couldn't do anything with because I had to rush out. I had to finish off some orders for mailing tomorrow and have found time to squeeze in one pair of earrings using my new polymer beads. Peachy roses feature beautifully on these white clay beads. Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and czech glass beads in complementary tones finish off this pretty pair.

10.25.2006

CORA S$36 sold

This is one side of a pair of earrings. I completed this side earlier today and rushed to take a photo thinking I'd cash in on the natural light and then complete the other side. Hmmmm.......it's the same difference where I am concerned - natural light/artificial light/no light and I still manage to produce such fine (not) photos! I think when I try too hard this happens. Will take another shot tomorrow morning. Large coral coin, white jade rose, freshwater pearls and a large swarovski pearl. 2 sides to the pair ;p

BLUE SPRITZ S$68 sold

Similar Autumn Jasper flat nuggets were used for VANILLA POD. This time around I've teamed the beads with bronze swarovski pearls and lovely turquoise polymer clay beads by Kamoe-Clay. Intricate honeycomb patterns in gold embellish the turquoise beads and teaming them with the autumn jasper enhances the lovely turquoise hues.

PEACHY sold

The photo of the necklace on its own gives a better image of the actual colours of the peach aventurine beads used.

PEACHY S$68 sold

Beautiful peachy aventurine round beads linked by 14k gold links and a carved agate rose. The peach aventurine beads range from pale peach to dark peach and look nothing like the beads in the photo. Worn close to the neck this is an elegant piece.

RAMBLING ROSE S$35 sold

Today has been a very loooonnnnggg day. For the first time in a long while, we manged to have lunch with our daughter. We had Korean food at a restaurant in Mosque Street at Tanjong Pagar. After lunch, we went for a mani/pedi (just Charlene and me) and then this evening my husband and I attended the wedding dinner of our friend's son. Today must be an auspicious day for weddings - there were 3 wedding banquets at the Grand Hyatt. Our friend hosted his son's wedding dinner in the ballroom and they had 800 guests !!!! 80 tables to be exact and a 5 piece band. Good food, good wine, good music and great company.

The glow of the beautiful bride made me want to come home and do up a pair of earrings that would remind me of the lovely bride, flushed and glowing with happiness. I decided on an all pink creation. Soft and innocent yet lush and sexy. Are all those adjectives possible in one person, one creation. I think so!

This creation follows closely behind her beautiful sister English Rose. I promised those who were disappointed at not getting their hands on ENGLISH ROSE fast enough that I would be doing more earrings with semi-precious stone roses. Whilst she looks exceptionally demure in this photo, RAMBLING ROSE is actually quite a stunner! Beautiful pink freshwater pearls, rose quartz carved rose and blush faceted briolettes. This photo has been taken under white light so I can't really show off this beauty. I will take another shot in the morning light just to prove that this is truly a beauty.

SNOW WHITE S$70

I don't know how to describe this except that it so reminds me of snow white. I mean the fairy tale young girl who ends up a princess.............. Faceted white jade pillars with 'old' gold bevelled spacers and the rose in the snow is a beautifully carved deep red jade rose. A picture should paint a thousand words, mine doesn't ;( Definitely better looking in reality.

ENGLISH ROSE S$35 sold

Rhodochrosite roses on white faceted briolettes. Something very English about this - twin sets, pearls, roses............... This is a one off. I only have one set of the rhodochrosite roses left. I used the rest for a commissioned series - and they're on their way to a 'fair' just out of London. Long time 'customer' ;D

EMMA S$30 Reserved

When I set eyes upon these czech glass beads I just knew what I wanted to do with them. Swirls of black, bluish grey, and streaks of gold. Like a turbulent ocean at night. I've matched the swarovski crystals to as close as possible to the shades on the glass beads. Needless to say, they look better in reality. Truly I tried to capture the 'feel' of the creation but, not surprisingly, I've failed.

This rather elegant pair of earrings features bronzite, yellow jade and swarovski crystals and pearls. The round bead and flat coin shaped beads are bronzite. The stone features little flashes of gold and shades of brown. Bronzite is believed to stimulate our decision making processes. It allows us to tackle those unresolved problems in our lives. Bronzite is also believed to promote our concept of unbiased assessment. Bronzite is called both a "Stone of Focused Action" and a "Stone of Courtesy". So there you go. You have issues? This is the stone we should be looking at ;p

Yesterday I had a particularly long day. I was out for the most part and got home around 10 pm after a class. When I went thru' my mail, a lilac envelope was something I zeroed in on. Inside was this Thank You card. A card from a young lady who recently came by my site and who has made several purchases from me - off the site and customisations. Each time she received a package she'd drop me an email to show appreciation for a small effort I had put in - like the packaging, my choice of fastener, etc. There is another young lady who is just as astute and appreciative of my effort - Clare - even the minutest of details wouldn't go unnoticed by them. K, I enjoy every minute of the creative process and at the end of the whole exercise, its a fantastic feeling that I'm left with when I realise that my effort hasn't gone unnoticed. For noticing the difference I THANK YOU ;p

Faceted siren red czech glass briolettes, silver pins, chains and earwires and swarovski crystals. Pewter bead spacers seal the top and bottom of the red bead.

FAIRY DUST S$30 sold

Cracked crystal rectangles with swarovski crystals and pearls. In reality they do so remind me of fairy dust - those tiny gold sparkles that supposedly appear when a fairy waves her magic wand around ;p

POCKETFUL OF POSIES S$29 reserved

Another lovely set of KAMOE CLAY beads in a rose red. Dangling from a bead chain and with swarovski pearls and crystals and an opalite czech glass bead this is another stunner

ROSE S$29 SOLD

ONLY 1 PAIR AVAILABLE. NO
REPEATS.
By any other name........... These little puffed pillows of KAMOE-CLAY boast beautiful maroon, blue and white roses and I've put just a few swarovski pearls and crystals on a chain to add a little swing to these turquoise beauties. Topping the pillow is a turquoise coloured shell. Earwires are sterling silver.

DEW DROPS S$35 sold

I think its obvious that I've 'found' my boxes of swarovski beads - crystals and pearls which I used to buy when other beads were 'scarce' in Singapore. Up till about 1 year ago, the most plentiful bead that could be found in our bead shops was swarovski crystals! After I found other beads from out of Singapore, I stashed my swarovski beads away....... strange how I now find them rather appealing. I've adorned these amazonite briolettes with different shades of blue swarovski crystals. Need to take a 'lighter' shot of these pretty earrings. Sterling silver ear wires.
