FLIGHT OF FANCY (BL 709-07) S$90

An amazingly pretty fire opal cabochon encased in a vintage looking nickel free brass frame, hanging off the tail end of a large nickel free brass dragonfly and held up by two arms of a mixture of jasper, aventurine and a single amazonite stone.

Fire Opal measures approx 4 cm down and together with the dragonfly the centerpiece measures 8 cm down. Necklace measures 40 cm from end to end and ends with a brass toggle.

SANDRA PRIVATE ORDER

This is a private order of a moonstone nuggets bracelet for Sandra. A similar piece was made for Bernadette except Sandra's has pink garnet faceted rondells and 925 silver beads for spacers whilst Bernadette's has peridot faceted rondells and 925 silver bead spacers.

CHERIE (BL 700-07) - close up

Charoite is a beautiful stone that ranges in color from light purple to black. It was discovered along the Charo River in Siberia, Russia during the late 1940’s, and is the only location the mineral has ever been found, thus accounting for it’s high price

I've used 2 different shapes here and separated them with tiny black beads and washers. 2 carved white beads for an extra kick have been included. This is a shot taken at dusk so the lighting isn't ideal and the colour isn't what it should be. In reality this is a beautiful deep amethyst tone with instances of lighter purple, black in some. This is a long necklace reaching my waist.

Its a cold wet day in Singapore and whilst I was so excited to take a photo of this creation, the elements were against me =((

Raw peridot nuggets, a large oval turquoise flanked by brass connectors, small howlite nuggets dyed turquoise and a 'hammered' toggle, dragonfly and leaf all in nickel free brass. I'm beginning to cringe each time I use the word vintage but admittedly I was trying to create the 'feel' of 'period charm' so this is supposedly a 'vintage' style necklace

These beads seem to exist for each other. Whilst deciding what I wanted to do with the dark choclate agate stones I caught sight of these round charcoal grey polymer clay beads and knew that they'd go hand in hand. Approx 38 cm, this choker style is an attention grabber, going perfectly with anything in taupe, buff, salmon pink, cream, burnt orange, smokey pink........I'm sure you get the gist =D

These are really lovely. Vintage looking lilac glass cabochons from Austria, with white flowers which I've encased in vintage tone frames and suspended from kidney wires with the same finish.

These lovely brick red cabochons which I've encased in vintage looking goldplated frames have inclusions which make them look like red jasper. To these classic stones I've added just a carved clay vanilla rose and hung them from kidney earwires. Quality goldplated accents. Vintage without looking passe.

A total drop of 5.5 cm, the cabochons on their own measure 1 cm down.

The cover of the container which has a sticker of the bottom edge of a Nonya kebaya. These are usually hand embroideried and very intricate and full of vibrant colour. I gave instructions to my maid - "Do not wet the top of the cover"!

I had breakfast in the city with my husband, ran some errands and then headed home and started on some orders. When I'm engrossed in my work I don't even remember to eat - hmmm....not that I've got a waistline to die for ! Today was such a day. At around 3 pm I got a call from Sasha's mummy telling me she was turning the corner and was going to drop off a serving of this local delicacy - mee siam. "mee" in this instance is rice vermicelli and Siam would be referring to the old name of Thailand. A spicy, piquant and slightly sweet dish, this was like manna from Heaven for me! This photo shows the noodles with the spicy gravy added.

These noodles are prepared from scratch by Pat, onions/chillies and whatever other ingredient she uses, is peeled by hand, diced, chopped, ground all by this very talented little dynamite.

MISS MUFFETT (BL 679-07) S$33 - SOLD - NO REPEATS

Yesterday I had the most enjoyable visit from Miss Muffett =D
She didn't come along with her tuffet but she did come with a huge box of freshly made muffins and a box of tissues all tied up in a bow for my husband. The box of tissues was to wipe his tears from crying over me spending so much $$$ on my beads. I thought that was real cute. The muffins are to die for and I'm just sorry I didn't take any photos. Anyway, in all that time we spent together, laughing and laughing and more laughing she told me about something she was working on for a particular box. Inspired greatly by her enthusiasm I dug (not too deep) and came up with these components to create what I saw in my mind's eye, her description of the project she's working on. Vintage looking lotus leaves and flowers, swarovski crystals, pewter dragonflies on a smaller lotus pad and all hanging from a short chain bringing the drop to around 1-1/2". Span of the larger leaf is 1". Goldfill earwires. Leaves are identical in size - position of the leaves gives the impression of the one closer to the camera being larger.

I had to take a shot of these brios facing the light. When I laid them flat they were a deep emerald tone but with light passing thru its a lively shade of fern. Topped by my new faceted garnet and rose quartz rondels this is an elegant set most suitable for an evening affair. Perfect with a deep cerise outfit.

Sage based lentils with smokey pink flowers and goldust this is a potent concoction that needs a dash of feminine sweetness.......the vanilla carved roses complete this beautifully fragrant potpurri. Hanging slightly below 4.5 cm, the 2 cm lentils are neither loud nor insignificant. Just the right dash of pizzazz.

Its been raining overnight in my part of Singapore. Truly I feel like I have to start rushing around with my Christmas preparations because its exactly like the weeks leading up to Christmas - cool weather, wet roads, light drizzle and the smell of rain. This is a cheerful pair which would brighten up any day, Christmas or otherwise. Shell tone for the base with gold, pale green, pink, black and malt swirls and twirls. A pewter connector with a pale jade carved rose each top these lovely lentils. Except for the pewter connectors all other accents are in 14k goldfill finish
