Chrysoprase is a very rare form of quartz. Its most striking attribute is its beautiful color, that of a green apple. However it also comes in a very dark green. Chrysoprase contains traces of nickel; the nickel that is found inside the Chrysoprase is what gives it its color.
This is a lightweight, petite pair of earrings featuring a gorgeous textured pair of earposts, approx 1 cm in diameter and smooth, 8mm x 7mm deep maroon garnet brios.

These smooth banded agate elongated brios are the last of a strand that I purchased. This pair is the shortest of the lot, measuring approx 2.5 cm. I've kept it relatively petite by using studs instead of wires. Faceted, slightly shaded carnellian rondells give a little color to these translucent drops. Total drop of the earrings is approx 3.5 cm. Lightweight.

Re-visiting my Vintaj findings and admiring the excellent finishing and color tone. I decided to create a pair of earrings with an 'aged' or antiquated feel about it. I've chosen translucent soft mint faceted onion, scalloped lace vintaj natural brass bead caps, etched hoops 21mm in diameter and cascading from brass hooks, tendrils of pink and purple amethyst, pink freshwater pearls, light prehnite rounds, moonstone rounds and vessuvianite rondells. All metal findings are Vintaj original. Total drop of 4.5 cm.
Can't believe that we've already hit the 3rd month of the first quarter of 2010!
