Whilst the clouds lifted and its now nice and cool and I could say almost bright for 6.30 pm, I struggled with capturing the gorgeous mystique of these large amethyst brios. Pear shape and mystic, they exude a captivating sheen. The effect is inherent in the stone due to the way the stone is 'cut' and not the result of external chemical enhancement.

A swarovski encrusted spacer adds to the glitz and these are topped by pink amethyst, dark purple amethyst, pink topaz and rubies.

These are at a giveaway price as its raining gemstones in my workroom and I reallllly, realllllly need to exercise some gemstone shopping restraint, but yah, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak so I'll shop till I drop or I run out of moolah, whichever comes sooner :D

Its but a beautiful and cool albeit wet day over here in my space on the island and whilst its not the best day for photo taking, it is an absolutely lovely day for me to be out in the garden doing whatever needs to be done.....I've neglected it so!

RUBY GOES TO TOWN - CUSTOM ORDER

I custom ordered these gorgeous ruby zoisite nuggets. I didn't want them too chunky nor too small. These are perfectly sized. Since Ruby is going to town (although Kenny Rogers did tell her not to take her love to town ;p - from the song RUBY DON'T TAKE YOUR LOVE TO TOWN) I 'dolled' her up a fair bit. Assymetrically placed, on one side is a magnificent red ruby and white quartz pave ball. 'Pave' means the gemstones are placed by hand into the jewellery. I don't think this ball is handmade though. On the other side of the necklace, slightly higher than the pave ball, is a cluster line consisting of keishi freshwater parls, pink sapphires, rubies, rose quartz. So.....Ruby is all set to paint the town red!

Necklace length: 18"+ 2"extension chain with a smooth ruby brio at the end.

Today has been a great day! I could continue for another 10 hours and not be tired. I received 3 packages - 1 from DHL, 1 from Speedpost and 1 regular registered post!

I've been waiting for these ametrine brios to do up a pair of earrings for the buyer of ANNALISA BL552-11. I am thrilled by these beauties! Microfacetted with excellent clarity and a whopping 26.5 carats together! One side has more obvious shading but they make a great pair and I love the quality. Teamed with shaded citrine and shaded amethyst I think they make the perfect companion for the necklace. No repeats.

Petite, Swarovski crystal studded ribbons for earposts, gold filled chain and wirework, vermeil ball pins and mystic grapolite - a sort of quartz which looks like frost and with tiny bits of green fossilised minerals inside. Very pretty stones which I've teamed with amethyst, quartz, moonstones in rondell and marquis cut stones. The brios are aprox 12mm long, petite but precious looking as they're quite unusual. Ametrine - I am truly fascinated by this gemstone. I just wish I had some sunlight to take some really good photos of this.

This pendant weighs 27.5 carats and measures 25mm x 18mm at its broadest, gorgeous facets and color shading. The real thing is pretty close in colour to the link on Wikipedia. Pendant is removable and can be used on a simple gold chain or on another necklace with complemeting stone colours.

To show off this beauty, faceted ametrine, pale rose quartz, citrine topaz, amethyst and topaz stones form a 20"/24.5 cm necklace with a generous 2-3/4"/8 cm extension.

A pink amethyst onion brio hangs at the end of the extension chain.

PS - This is a natural forming quartz but heat treated to enhance the colouring. No artificially added colours.

Looking quite different from the set of ruby zoisite I used in RUBY Z BL541-11, these are in fact also ruby zoisite but pink ruby zoisite instead of the deeper ruby tone in the previous creation.

Lovely heart shape faceted brios with pink opals rose quartz and pink sapphire rondells, smooth ruby brios and freshwater keishi pearls for company. They drop at : 4.5cm. Heart shape brios measure 14mm x 12 mm.
