Awesome lapis lazuli smooth round beads in 2 sizes - 12mm on the outside and 10mm on the inside.  An equally stunning connector with a shell pearl on one side and a lovely baroque pearl on the opposite side of the inner necklace.  The lapis are natural without any colour enhancement.  In the light, the gold pyrite flecks add even more bling to the beads.

Compliments of the season to everybody!  Hope you've had a great time with friends and family.

Now that Christmas Day is officially over and everyone would have/should have received their gifts, I am now able to showcase these bracelet cuffs.  Reason being I had a corporate order for a whole lot of these cuffs but they were to be kept 'confidential' till the girls received their gifts.  Showing something new would automatically set off bells as the organizing committee took suggestions and I was one of the crafters commissioned to work on the gifts.

The bracelet cuffs are gold plated - made in Korea, excellent plating and I've used a wide variety of embellishments.........crystals, semi precious stones,lucite, resin, freshwater pearls, glass pearls, shell pearls, czech glass, fabric, leather........

I'm  putting up 2 pieces today to kick start these pieces.

Finished this pair just at sundown.  Took a whole lot of photos but none of them am I truly satisfied with.  These 3 are the best of the lot.  

Dark green smooth aventurine, almost like Imperial jade in colour, cascading down the sides of these lovelies are a mix of freshwater pearls, garnet, onyx, topaz, pyrite and peridot.  Nice sized solitaire earposts complete this elegant pair.  Drop :  38mm

Isn't this pendant gorgeous? Heart shaped polymer clay measuring approx 31mm x 32 mm with a removable bail, hanging off a 36"/95 cm chain featuring faceted purple amethyst, natural grey agate, aventurine, color enhanced dark blue agate and freshwater pearls.  A lilac lucite rose is an added feature of this long necklace which can be worn wound 2x round the neck.  I will take photos of the necklace on my mannequin tomorrow.

Where do I begin, to tell the story of how beautiful natural periwinkle blue chalcedony is, in reality?  Translucent with occassional clouds within but overall just stunningly beautiful

I spent several days over this piece, savouring every moment of the journey whilst I set and reset the pearls and stunning periwinkle blue chalcedony nuggets.  I've used an assortment of freshwater pearls - assorted shapes, sizes and colour and of course there is but just one shade of periwinkle blue chalcedony.  These nuggets are translucent, each piece different from the other.  A discreet addition of lavender blue freshwater pearls have also been added to keep the chalcedony company.  A triple strand, rhinestone studded clasp is an added side feature.  

All wirework has been completed with 14k goldfilled wire.

Necklace length is approximately 20" (length of longest strand from end to end).

Today I made a bride very happy.  I hand delivered (her house is a 10 minute drive away from mine) a package for her 'bethrothal gifts' ceremony  (the groom will deliver the bethrotal gifts to the bride's family on an auspicuous date), her wedding day bracelet and earrings.  It was a good feeling being able to complete everything on time.  


After a nice long lunch, I've decided to check out some of my new purchases which I've only just found time to sort and price. Part of my recent acquisitions are snowflake jaspers. These really lovely smooth snowflake jasper elongated ovals are matched with  freshwater pearls and mystic black onyx rondells.  Shoulder duster tassles hang from the back of this pair and because its a flat back stone, the tassles sit really nice and neatly and emerge at the base of the stone.

Total drop: 9.5cm - Might seem long but they're really nice looking when worn.

Today has been a longggg day for me.  I completed 2 pairs of earrings and a necklace which are all custom orders.  I also managed to complete a lovely clay + agate necklace with sterling silver textured curved washer spacers, clusters of pink and lilac freshwater pearls amongst faceted turquoise, pink, purple amethyst and pink topaz rondells.  2 round and 2 lentils as an off centre arrangement.  Ends with sterling silver toggle.  Smooth oval agates are a cross between light grey and lilac. 
Necklace measures approx. 18" from end to end.

I tried to 'recreate' vintage with this creation. Gemstone quality checker board faceted rock quartz coins measuring approx 8 mm are attached by 14k goldfilled headpins to nickel-free vintage brass connectors which measure approx 10 mm from point to point. Atop each vintage connector is a 3mm freshwater pearl. 14k Goldfilled earwires bring this creation to a drop of 42 mm.
