AUTUMN BL890-12 S$75 SOLD

My first, non-bespoke piece for the month of December.  The year is quickly coming to an end and I'm happy to be finishing off my custom orders.  I found time to work on this lovely earthy tone necklace, influenced by photos I'm seeing of the season that has ended and being taken over very rapidly by Winter.  Many of my friends in Europe have been waking up to snow, but out here in Equatorial Singapore we don't have the privilege of 4 seasons, having either the sun or the rain dominating our weather patterns.

This earthy, Autumn tone necklace features polymer clay pearls and minerals in different shapes and sizes.  I've used round and rondell shape impression jasper, hand carved red creek elongated jasper, caramel tone moonstones, and olive serpentine beads.  Necklace measures approx 38"/96.5cm and can be wound 2x round for a shorter style.

LYNNE BL857-12 S$65 SOLD

Today I made a bride very happy.  I hand delivered (her house is a 10 minute drive away from mine) a package for her 'bethrothal gifts' ceremony  (the groom will deliver the bethrotal gifts to the bride's family on an auspicuous date), her wedding day bracelet and earrings.  It was a good feeling being able to complete everything on time.

After a nice long lunch, I've decided to check out some of my new purchases which I've only just found time to sort and price. Part of my recent acquisitions are snowflake jaspers. These really lovely smooth snowflake jasper elongated ovals are matched with  freshwater pearls and mystic black onyx rondells.  Shoulder duster tassles hang from the back of this pair and because its a flat back stone, the tassles sit really nice and neatly and emerge at the base of the stone.

Jasper specs: 8mm x 22mm
Total drop: 9.5cm - Might seem long but they're really nice looking when worn.

SAHARA BL850-12 S$75 SOLD

After weeks of sweltering heat, finally there's some relief.  Since late last night till around 5 am this morning we had a thunderstorm with abundant rain following.  Up till an hour ago there was beautiful sunshine with a cool breeze - hard to believe that the two descriptive phrases could be used in the same sentence; beautiful sunshine and cool breeze - but its true.

After the post office and a package 'by hand' drop we had a relatively early lunch and I decided to take a 'break' from the 3 custom orders I'm working on and do up something different.

Inspired or rather, influenced, by the recent heat wave, I've called this SAHARA, like the dessert, hot and barren with mirages of oasis' on the horizon.

Smooth oval impression jasper, corresponding mooakite smooth beads and a lovely irregular shaped flat oval drop orange and sand tone impression jasper pendant.  Lariat style, this measures 19".

CALISTA BL828-12 S$80 SOLD

This is a bead conundrum.......where does the natural stop and the man made begin.......From my hidden/secret stash I've decided to finally use beads I've hoarded for a long while.....Can you pick out the polymer clay beads from the Mookaite?  I've used mookaite jaspers because they have almost all the shades (minus the turquoise) that are present in the clay beads - shades of pink, red and yellow.  Both are beauties in their own right.
The mooakite come in two shapes, coins and ovals.  Separating the clay beads are banded - polished and textured bands - goldfilled beads.  Stunning colours.

Necklace measures approx 17.5"/45 cm

Mooakite rounds 2cm diameter/ovals 2.5cm x 1.8 cm
Clay beads 2.5cm x 1.8cm

APPLE JASPER (BL 769-07) S$65 SOLD

.
I have done up another necklace for a private order, with these jasper stones closer to the neck - choker style, with the chain shortened towards the back and not visible in the front. This is slightly more versatile in that it is long enough to sit nicely under a shirt/blouse collar with the stones showing in front. With copper tone washers as spacers, I've secured the stones with double copper tone chains. Ends with a copper tone toggle. As with all jaspers, these have beautiful colours and natural inclusions.

CYNTHIA (NL 06/07-587)PRIVATE ORDER

.
A special request this is a fusion of a few of the recent necklace designs I've done recently. Faceted large ochre briolette topped by an agate carved flower, 14k goldpalted long chain and a triangular shaped mookite stone in almost the same tone as the brio and an aventurine carved flower bead. Cheerful and sun shiney

ALEXIS (NL 05/07-584) S$65 SOLD

.
Another interesting necklace approx 35 cm in length. Tree jasper rectangles with the line broken by 3 matte black onyx stones. Black metal bicone spacers. Eye catching stunner.

I've been doing a lot of behind the scene work - much of the stuff I'm doing will not go online but my lack of updates is an indication that I'm busy finishing off private orders. I've found sometime to put up a couple of necklaces because those of you who aren't into earrings have been telling me they miss the necklaces.......so a small bonus until my next post ;p
